Wisconsin in the winter weather cross hairs. From west central to norh eastern Wisconsin — the storm will begin moving into the state on Tuesday morning, making for challenging travel conditions. Todd Shea is the warning coordination meteorologist with the National Weather Service in La Crosse.
“It looks like from west central Wisconsin up to the northeast quadrant of the state. So, kind of corridor bewteen La Crosse and Eau Claire and Green Bay, up to Rhinelander and into the U.P. That swath is kind of the epicenter,” where forecasters are projecting between 8″ and 12″, Shea said.
This will be a heavier, wet snowfall. Shea says as the system moves out of the state Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, winds will increase, so there could be some drifting issues as well. You can get travel and weather updates at Ready Wisconsin.
