The Wisconsin football team announced 24 new scholarship players and six walk-ons by mid-morning on National Signing Day today.
Coach Paul Chryst will make his first public comments on his 2016 recruiting class at 2:30 this afternoon. It’s the first true recruiting class under his tenure, since Chryst came on board just one-and-a-half months before last year’s signing day.
The recruiting services are high on Wisconsin’s class. Scout.com ranks Paul Chryst’s class early on at number-23 in the country.
Nine of the 30 announced recruits are from Wisconsin, including one quarterback, Kare’ Lyles who comes from Scottsdale, Arizona but was originally from Wisconsin. Lyles enrolled early and will be able to participate in spring ball. So is linebacker Dallas Jeanty.
