Wisconsin’s crisis helpline will get some federal funding. The 988 helpline was awarded $17 million in federal grants over three years to help hire more staff and increase promotion of the service. Over 60 people currently work for Wisconsin Lifeline, which has 24-7 coverage on both text chat and voice calls. Governor Tony Evers says the funds will help ensure that people will have support to help save lives.
