A Milwaukee County woman faces up to 63-years in prison for allegedly delivering a baby last month and then dumping the infant in an outside trash bin near her Racine workplace. 23-year-old Breanna Gering is charged with first-degree reckless homicide and concealing the death of a child for the August 16th incident.
Racine Police say she gave birth to the baby in the bathroom of a west side restaurant, then put the still alive girl into a plastic bag and tossed it in the dumpster behind another restaurant in the same strip mall. The child was estimated to be 38 or 39 weeks old.
Gering, who sought post birth complication care, is on house arrest. She’s due back in court September 23rd.
