A worker on a guardrail replacement project along Interstate-94 in western Wisconsin was electrocuted Monday morning. Sergeant Mike Marcks with the Wisconsin State Patrol said the 34 year-old Ellsworth man was standing next to a piece of machinery which made contact with an overhead power line, at about 7:20 a.m. First responders found the man, employed by Highway Technologies, lying on the roadway. He died at Mayo Hospital in Menomonie. OSHA will be investigating the incident. The worker’s name has not been released.
