With Koren Robinson suspended for a year and Robert Ferguson out with a foot injury, the  Green Bay Packers  are left with starters Donald Driver and Greg Jennings as the only two receivers with any NFL experience.  The Packers promoted Chris Francies from the practice squad on Wednesday and Ruvell Martin will move into the 3rd receiver slot.

Francies was a three-year starter at the University of Texas-El Paso and caught 44 passes for 774 yards and five touchdowns during his senior season.  He was not invited to the scouting combine last February but received offers from four other teams.

Martin was on the Packers practice squad for the last seven weeks of last season and before that led NFL Europe in receiving yards and touchdowns.  The Packers elected to go with the youth, rather then sign a free agent receiver.
