A new report indicates young Wisconsin voters could be out in record numbers come November.

Mark Hugo Lopez with the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement at the University of Maryland notes youth voting in Wisconsin was up 14% in the 2004 presidential election, and Wisconsin's 65% turnout for young voters in 2004 was second best in the nation.

A hotly contested gubernatorial race, and referenda on the death penalty and same sex marriage are reasons why November could see another record turnout by voters between the ages of 18 and 29.
