Brewers drop 2 of 3 to White Sox

June 25, 2012 By Bill Scott

Another close game and another close loss for the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday.  Mike Fiers pitched shutout ball into the 8th inning, allowing just 6-hits, but he has nothing to show for it.

Manny Parra served up a double to Alejandro De Aza in the 10th and pinch hitter Eduardo Escobar followed with an RBI single to give the White Sox a 1-0 win over the Brewers in 10 innings.

The Brewers failed to execute several opportunities and played sloppy baseball which is a big reason why they lost Sunday and dropped 2 of 3 in the series to the White Sox.

The loss dropped the Brewers to 12-21 in games decided by one or two runs.  They’re also just 6-12 in interleague play this season.

The Brewers send Yovani Gallardo to the mound tonight as they open a 3-game series in Cincinnati against the Reds.  The Brewers start the day 6 1/2 games behind the Reds in the Central Division standings.
