Bucks win streak stopped by Clippers

December 16, 2012 By admin

The Milwaukee Bucks win streak was stopped at four games, as the L.A. Clippers took down the Bucks 111-85 Saturday night.  This win was the ninth in a row for the Clippers.

A combination of poor shooting from the Bucks, 31 fast break points from the Clippers, and three double-doubles from Clipper players led to the Bucks’ downfall.

The Bucks only shot 36% from the floor and made 33% of their three-point attempts.  The Clippers made almost 54% of their shots, while draining 45% of their three-point shots. [Read more…]

Bucks top Central Division with Friday night win

December 15, 2012 By admin

The Milwaukee Bucks are sitting at the top of the Central Division in the Eastern Conference.  The Bucks (12-9) are tied with Chicago (12-9), but are currently ahead via a tie-breaker.

Friday night’s win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, 90-86, also gives the Bucks the longest win streak in the Eastern Conference at four games.

Monta Ellis led the Bucks in scoring with 33 points, and was one of four Bucks to get to the double-digit scoring mark.  Brandon Jennings had 16 points, Ersan Ilyasova had 11 points, and Larry Sanders scored 10 points.

The Bucks were led by Sanders with 10 rebounds, and combined with his 10 points gave him a double-double for the game.

The Cavaliers were led in scoring by Kyle Irving with 26 points and was one of three Cavaliers to hit double-digits.  CJ Miles, with 17 points, and Daniel Gibson, with 11 points, accompanied Irving in the double-digit scoring.

Cleveland’s Anderson Varejao led the team in rebounds with 18 on the night, and was three defensive rebounds away from tying a single game career high for defensive rebounds.

The Bucks look to continue this four game winning streak and aim to build a lead in the Central Division when they take on the 16-6 L.A. Clippers in Milwaukee tonight.
