Just one day after the Badger men’s basketball team suffered defeat in Minneapolis, the Badger women’s team followed suit.  Cold second half shooting led to Wisconsin’s demise in a 64-53 loss to the Gophers.

The Badgers (9-9, 2-4 Big Ten) shot 31% from the field in the second half (9 of 29) and hit just 2 of 14 from three-point range (14.3%), surrendering a lead and losing on the road to the Gophers (13-7, 2-4).

Morgan Paige had 13 points and Nicole Bauman added 11 for the Badgers.  Wisconsin’s top two scorers, Michala Johnson and Taylor Wurtz were held to 8 and 7 points respectively, shooting a combined 6 of 22 (27%) from the field.
