The Wisconsin Badger (22-12-7) men’s hockey team drew a fourth seed in the East Regional and will face top-seed UMass Lowell (26-10-2) on
Broadmoor Trophy
Friday at 3:30pm CT in Manchester, New Hampshire at Verizon Wireless Arena.
The game is currently scheduled for broadcast on ESPN3, with the possibility of local live television coverage. The game will air tape delayed on ESPNU at 9:30pm CT.
Second-seed and host-school New Hampshire (19-11-7) takes on third-seed Denver (20-13-5) in the second regional semifinal game on Friday at 7pm CT. That game will air live on ESPNU.
The Badgers are coming off of a 3-2 win over Colorado College to capture the WCHA Final Five championship and the Broadmoor Trophy that goes with it. It’s the 12th WCHA playoff title in Wisconsin’s history. The Badgers will also lay claim to winning the Broadmoor Trophy in the final year of the current WCHA. The Badgers will play in the Big Ten next season.
