Milwaukee Brewers manager Craig Counsell said they’re moving outfielder Ryan Braun from right field, back to left field.

The move clears the way for strong-armed newcomer Domingo Santana to move into right field, which is better suited for his game.

After playing third base as a rookie in 2007, Braun moved to left field and stayed there for five seasons.  He moved to right field two years ago to make room for Khris Davis in left.

Davis was recently traded to Oakland, which allows Braun to move back to left.

Santana is one of four players acquired in last summer’s deal that sent Carlos Gomez and Mike Fiers to Houston
