Milwaukee Bucks logo 2The Milwaukee Bucks held the Los Angeles Lakers to 65 points through three-quarters and took a seven-point lead to the final quarter.

That’s when the Lakers went off, scoring 36 points in the final quarter for a 101-93 win over the Bucks at Staples Center.

The Bucks (32-26) lost for the third time in the last four games and missed out on a chance to move into fifth place in the Eastern Conference after Washington lost at Philadelphia earlier.

Ersan Ilyasova had 17 points and 12 rebounds and Giannis Antetokounmpo added 13 points, eight rebounds and four assists in the loss.

Playing in his second game with the Bucks, point-guard Michael Carter-Williams played 27 minutes, finishing with eight points, four assists and four turnovers.

Game two of the Bucks trip out west is tonight, in Salt Lake City against the Utah Jazz.
