The St. Louis Cardinals lead in the NL Central is disappearing fast. The Cardinals fell to the Brewers 9-4 in St. Louis last night and saw their lead over Houston decrease to 1/2 game. The Brewers clobbered Cardinals starter Jason Marquis for 6-runs on 5 hits in his two plus innings. Bill Hall clubbed a 2-run homer, his team leading 34th of the season. The Brewers jumped out to a 8-0 lead in the third and never looked back. Doug Davis struggled to throw strikes for the Brewers, but he had enough offensive support to pick up his 11th win (11-11) of the season. Game two of the series is tonight.
