The head of the state Democratic Party says a decision from the State Elections Board confirms Congressman Mark Green violated Wisconsin law. Elections officials have ordered the Green campaign to divest about $468,000 in contributions that were transferred the Congressman's federal campaign to his state gubernatorial campaign. State Democratic Party chairman Joe Wineke says the transfers put Green over Wisconsin's legal limit for Political Action Committee contributions. He says the State Elections Board chose to properly follow the law by ordering Green to repay money nobody could legally accept in this state. Wineke also dismisses arguments from the Green campaign that this was a partisan decision.
