Fall has arrived in Wisconsin, which means a vibrant array of colors will be on display in the coming weeks in the branches of trees statewide.
The change has already started in some parts of the state. However, Tourism Secretary Stephanie Klett says it is a little inconsistent this early in the season, with “some places in northern Wisconsin are at 70 percent color, while counties next to them are at 20 percent color.”

The state has its popular Fall Color Report already up and running on the state Tourism Department’s website. Updated daily, Klett says it’s a valuable resource for anyone who wants to know where to go. Not only does it list the percentage of color change, it will also show upcoming events, along with lodging and dining recommendations.
Klett says it’s expected to be a spectacular fall in many counties, thanks to plenty of rain over the summer.
