State appellate court Judge JoAnne Kloppenburg was the top fundraiser so far, among the three candidates running for the state Supreme Court this spring.

Reports filed with the state show Kloppenburg raised $278,447 last year. That put her ahead of Milwaukee County circuit judge Joe Donald, who raised $250,657, and sitting Supreme Court Justice Rebecca Bradley, who brought in $229,870.

Bradley’s campaigned noted that it raised most of its funding in just three months, since she did not officially enter the race until last fall. Bradley was appointed by Governor Scott Walker to fill out the remainder of Justice Patrick Crooks’ term.

All three candidates face each other in a February 16 primary, with the top two candidates from that contest going on to the April 5 general election.
