The Green Bay Packers say they aren’t concerned about adjusting to the high-altitude in the Mile High City this weekend, but coach Mike McCarthy is still leaving for Denver a day early (Friday).

Some of the players, like linebacker Clay Matthews, aren’t sure what to expect.

McCarthy wasn’t trying to make too big of a deal.  he said the biggest concern was quick energy depletion, but that preparations during the week would take care of that.

McCarthy said, “We’re going to need a lot of carbs and drink more water.”

James Starks

Running back James Starks missed his second day of practice on Wednesday because of a hip injury that he suffered in the San Diego game.

Starks carried the ball 10 times for 112 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns in that game.

His running mate Eddie Lacy gained just three yards on four carries in that game.
