The UW-Milwaukee Panthers won their second game in the Horizon League men’s basketball tournament, knocking off Valparaiso
74-57 in front of a small crowd of 1,770 at the Resch Center in Green Bay.
The fifth-seeded Panthers (19-13) earned a spot in the semifinals tonight (8:30pm) against regular season champion UW-Green Bay (24-5).
The Panthers knocked off the Phoenix 73-63 on Feb. 8 at the Resch Center. Green Bay won the first matchup 93-86 in overtime in Milwaukee.
Milwaukee ended a 5-game losing streak against Valpariaso. They never trailed in last night’s game.
3rd-seeded Wright State (19-13) beat sixth seeded Oakland 73-57 in the other second round game. Wright State will face Cleveland State in the other semifinal at 6pm tonight.
