Home sales in the Badger State continue their recovery, although they remain behind last year.

For the month of October, home sales in the state were up 13.5 percent over 2010 numbers. Wisconsin Realtors Association President Mike Theo says it’s still a sign the market is recovering from the effects of the housing tax credit that was in place for about the first half of last year.

Despite sales going up, Theo says prices continued to take a hit. The median price dropped 7.8 percent to $129,000.

Theo says he’s hoping to see the market become more stable in the months ahead.

For all of 2010, home sales are down about three-percent over last year.
