After a 6-0 start away from Miller Park, the Milwaukee Brewers suffered their first road loss of the season.  The Pittsburgh Pirates scored 9 runs in the 7th and 8th innings to break a 2-2 tie and post a 11-2 win over the Brewers.

The Pirates clubbed four home runs in the victory, three of the four coming with men on base.  Pittsburgh has 23 home runs on the season, which is tops in the Major Leagues.

Josh Harrison’s two-run homer to left off of Rob Wooten (0-1) broke a 2-2 tie and started the Pirates 9-run outburst.

The Pirates finished with 12-hits in the game.

Edinson Volquez (1-0) gave up two runs in seven innings for his first win with the Pirates.  He scattered eight hits.

Aramis Ramirez and Jonathan Lucroy had run scoring hits for the Brewers on the loss.

Kyle Lohse (2-1, 3.05) is scheduled to pitch game two of the series tonight against Pittsburgh.
