“Rocky Horror” tribute show cast feeling loss of Tim Curry (MILWAUKEE)
The late actor Tim Curry’s most famous role was Dr. Frank-n-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Cast members in Milwaukee’s shadowcast, called Sensual Daydreams, are feeling his loss. Sensual Daydreams co-director Tiffany Tresemer says Curry was a “beacon for so many people to be who they truly are.” is gone. She said Curry’s death “really didn’t seem like something that could be real,” especially so soon after the another icon — Dolly Parton — had just passed away. Waukesha County woman arrested for “swatting” (HARTLAND)
A phony 911 call results in a SWAT response. Waukesha County deputies say a 50-year-old Hartland woman placed that call on Wednesday, claiming she was being held at gunpoint inside of her apartment. Special response teams set up a perimeter around the building and put a nearby school into lockdown as a precaution. Police determined the woman was alone in her apartment and there was no danger. She was arrested on swatting and disorderly conduct charges. The woman’s name has not been released pending formal charges.
Evers requests over $20 million in disaster relief for last month’s tornado (MADISON)
Governor Tony Evers requests federal disaster aid for last month’s Fox Valley tornado. State and federal assessments in Menasha and Appleton are complete and the Federal Emergency Management Agency identified more than 20 million dollars in residential, business, and public property damage. Evers also requests federal funds for northern Wisconsin, where straight-line winds damaged infrastructure. The request now goes to the White House for approval from President Trump.
Western WI man faces 16th OWI charge (BARRON COUNTY)
An Eau Claire man faces a 16th O W I charge. 71-year-old Bradley Armstrong was arrested on Sunday in Barron County. Officers allegedly found marijuana in Armstrong’s vehicle, and he failed field sobriety tests at the scene. Armstrong’s drivers’ license had been revoked. He’s being held in the Barron County jail on a 5-thousand dollar cash bond.
