Madison Police investigate a fraternity hazing incident. Officers dispatched to the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity around 8:20 Wednesday night after receiving an anonymous tip found around 30 partially clothed males in the basement covered in food, condiments, and other liquids.
The vast majority of those in attendance were 18-years-olds and according to the police incident report several had visible injuries consistent with being physically assaulted. The thermostat in the room was set to 81 degrees.
The fraternity president and vice president were arrested for hazing and disorderly conduct and taken to the Dane County Jail. Alpha Epsilon Pi is an unrecognized and unaccredited student organization which was terminated by the University of Wisconsin more than a decade ago.
