A math teacher in the Racine Unified School District appeared in court Monday afternoon, accused of paying a former student in exchange for letting him sexually assault the teen and take nude photos of him.
48-year-old Joseph Clazmer was ordered held on a $75,000 cash bond on charges of child enticement, possession of child pornography, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was also ordered to not have contact with any minors or use a computer or the internet.
According to the criminal complaint, the alleged victim said he and other students would go to Clazmer’s home to drink and smoke marijuana. Clazmer admitted to investigators that he took a nude photo of the teen and gave him massages, saying he was trying to help the boy because he was getting involved in too much “risky behavior.”
Racine Unified spokesman Paul Holley says the district is conducting an internal investigation.
