Wisconsin taxpayers will foot the bill for a Madison radio host’s settlement with the state. Philip Dominic Salvia co-hosts the “Devil’s Advocate Radio Show” on The Mic 92.1 FM in Madison.
Capitol police arrested Salvia and dozens of others three years ago, in an attempt to shut down daily sing-along protests. Now, under terms of a settlement agreed to by Attorney General Brad Schimel and the Walker administration, taxpayers will be on the hook for a $75,000 settlement.
Saliva’s attorney says about 75 other people have contacted his office about filing a class action lawsuit, a number he predicts could more than double.
