It’s official…Democrat Russ Feingold and Republican U.S. Senator Ron Johnson will face each other once again in November.
Feingold easily won Tuesday’s Democratic primary against Scott Harbach, with unofficial returns showing the former senator claiming 90 percent of the vote. The win sets up a long expected rematch between Feingold and Johnson, after Johnson claimed the seat in the 2010 election by unseating Feingold from an office he had held for three terms.
In a statement, Feingold said he’s campaigning for the middle class and accused Johnson of ignoring the people of Wisconsin while serving in Washington, while Johnson claimed his experience as a manufacturer and outsider make him the clear choice in November.
