Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will make a return trip to Wisconsin this weekend, where he will be joined by many of the state’s top elected officials at a rally in Walworth County.
U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) announced this morning that Trump will appear at the First Congressional District Republican Party of Wisconsin Fall Fest, which takes place Saturday at the Walworth County Fairgrounds. Also appearing at the event will be Governor Scott Walker, U.S. Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI), and other GOP leaders.
It will mark the second time in less than two weeks Trump will have visited the state, after he held a rally in Waukesha in late September. The GOP nominee is working to solidify support from Republican voters in the state, as he tries to narrow a gap between him and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. The most recent Marquette University Law School Poll showed Trump trailing Clinton by just two points among likely voters in the state.
