Brewers open series at Kansas City

June 23, 2006 By WRN Contributor

The Milwaukee Brewers open a weekend series at Kansas City, against the Royals. The Royals are just 22-49 on the season, but they have won four straight, including a sweep of the Pirates. Dave Bush pitches for the Brewers(4-6 4.81 ERA), while the Royals send Bobby Keppel (0-3, 3.64 ERA) to the mound. — Reliever Allan Simpson, who was designated for assignment three days ago, cleared waivers and was sent outright to Class AAA Nashville.
