7-run 8th leads to Brewers 5th straight defeat

August 30, 2006 By WRN Contributor

Pinch hitter Jason Lane's grand slam was the big blow in Houston's 7-run 8th inning last night as the Astros rolled to a 10-3 win over Milwaukee, sending the Brewers to their 5th straight loss. Willy Taveras went 0 for 3, seeing his 30-game hitting streak come to an end. But the Astros has plenty of offense, winning their 4th straight. Brian Shouse took the loss for the Brewers. Game two of the series is tonight.
