Packers say Lambeau Field is safe

October 19, 2006 By WRN Contributor

The Green Bay Packers say Lambeau Field is safe and secure after a threat of terrorism against seven NFL stadiums this weekend was revealed.  Homeland Security officials say they doubt it's a legitimate threat, but they've notified the NFL of a threat against football stadiums posted on a web site.  The internet message claims radiological dirty bombs will be detonated at seven stadiums this weekend, including Miami which is where the Packers play this weekend.  According to Homeland Security officials, the threat is viewed with “strong skepticism.  The threat reportedly first appeared October 12th in an online conversation.
