Badger cross country team finishes 2nd at National's

November 21, 2006 By WRN Contributor

Favored to win another men's NCAA Cross Country Championship, the Wisconsin Badgers finished a disappointing second in the National Meet in Terre Haute, Indiana on Monday.

The Badgers scored 142 points to finish 48 behind champion Colorado.  The Buffalo's also edged Wisconsin for the 2004 title.

The Badgers also earned a surprise 4th place finish in the women's division.  It's a drastic improvement from their 20th place finish at the NCAA Championships last year.
