Bouman gets time with the 1's

November 23, 2006 By WRN Contributor

Newcomer Todd Bouman split the reps with the #1 offense in practice on Wednesday.  Starter Brett Favre watched from the sidelines.  Head coach Mike McCarthy hasn't named a No. 2 quarterback for the Packers, but it's generally assumed it'll be Bouman.

Bouman spent two seasons with McCarthy in New Orleans and has a working knowledge of the Packers offensive system.

After being released by the Saints this summer, Bouman returned to his home in Buffalo, Minnesota, where he kept in shape by working out at a local gym.  He had a total of five tryouts before signing with the Packers this week.
