Anderson is Big Ten women's Player of the Week

December 18, 2006 By WRN Contributor

Wisconsin has its second Big Ten Player of the Week this season.  Jolene Anderson had a pair of 20-point games this past week as Wisconsin fell on the road to UW-Green Bay 70-66, but bounced back at home in an 86-66 win over Harvard.

The former 2005 Big Ten Freshman of the Year tallied her 14th career double-double with a team-high 21 points and 13 rebounds at Green Bay on Dec. 13th.  Anderson finished with 22 points, six boards, four assists and three steals in the Dec. 15th win over Harvard.

This is Anderson's first Player of the Week honor of her career and just the fourth time the Badgers have had two different players earn player of the week honors in the same year.
