Kampman is NFC Defensive Player of the Week

December 28, 2006 By WRN Contributor

Green Bay Packers defensive end Aaron Kampman is the NFC's Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.  Kampman registered 7 tackles and 3 sacks in last week's win over the Minnesota Vikings.

Kampman is tied with San Diego's Shawne Merriman for the league lead in sacks with 15 1/2 and was named to the pro bowl last week.

Kampman and the Packers will face the Bears in Chicago on Sunday night.
