Marquette to retire Wade's #3 Saturday

January 30, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Marquette University says it will retire Dwyane Wade's jersey #3 during a halftime ceremony of this Saturday's game against Providence at the Bradley Center.

Wade played for the Golden Eagles from 2001 to 2003, helping them to a 53-13 record and two NCAA Tournament appearances, including a trip to the Final Four in 2003.

The Miami Heat made Wade the 5th overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft.
