McCarthy begins search for Offensive Coordinator

January 2, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Green Bay Packers  head coach Mike McCarthy begins his search for a new offensive coordinator with Jeff Jagodzinski leaving to begin his new duties as head coach at Boston College.

Packers offensive line coach Joe Philbin is considered one of the favorites for the job.  Another possibility is Atlanta's offensive coordinator, Greg Knapp, who might be available after Falcons coach Jim Mora was fired on Monday.

The Packers 8-8 finishwill put them in the middle of the Pack for the upcoming 2007 NFL Draft.  The Packers are one of 8 teams that finished at 8-8.  After tiebreakers are decided, the Packers will end up picking 16th in the first round.
