Five Badgers on U.S. National Team roster

March 28, 2007 By WRN Contributor

USA Hockey announced that five current and former Badgers are among the forwards and defensemen who will be part of the 2007 U.S. Women's National Team at the International Ice Hockey Federation Women's World Championship in Winnipeg and Selkirk, Manitoba from April 3-10.

Three current Badgers (Meghan Duggan, Erika Lawler and Jinelle Zaugg) and two former Badgers (Molly Engstrom and Kerry Weiland) will skate for Team USA and its head coach, Mark Johnson.

A fourth current Badger, Jessie Vetter, is one of three goalies who are competing for two spots on the final roster.  The two goalies for Team USA will be announced on Saturday (March 31).
