With their 3rd of three straight selections in the 6th round, the Packers tabbed Colorado kicker Mason Crosby. He was considered the best kicker in the NFL Draft this year and many thought he would be drafted in the first three rounds. He holds 31 Colorado kicking records. He kicked a 58-yard field goal at Miami, which is the longest FG ever at sea level. He's also a single-digit golfer…so he'll fit in well with other kickers in the NFL. Crosby will bring serious competition to Dave Rayner who did a decent job in his first year with the Pack in 2006.
Mason told the Green Bay media that he hit a 71 yard field goal in warmups before a game this year.
