Brewers beat Braves, end 6-game slide

May 30, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Ben Sheets survived a rocky first inning and led the Milwaukee Brewers to a 5-4 win over the Atlanta Braves, ending a 6-game losing streak at Miller Park.

The Braves scored three times in the first inning to take the early lead before the Brewers started the comeback.  The Brewers got a single run in the second and then Prince Fielder tied the game in the third with a 2-run homer, his National League leading 17th home run of the season.

J.J. Hardy drove in the go-ahead run in the sixth and then scored on a throwing error.

Sheets earned his 5th win of the season and Francisco Cordero worked the 9th to earn his 18th save.

The Brewers send Dave Bush to the mound in the final game of the series this afternoon.  12:05pm is the first pitch at Miller Park.
