For the second time in three weeks there's been an abduction attempt reported to Fond du Lac police. This time an 11-year-old boy says he was grabbed by a man in a van at a convenience store, but was able to shake free. Police Major Kevin Lemke says video surveillance at the Speedway Station did not capture the incident. The boy told investigators the man tried to lure him into a conversion style van that was light blue in color and when that didn't work grabbed him by an arm. The boy broke free and ran home to his mother. Major Lemke says they'd like to speak with the man to find out whether it was a legitimate abduction attempt or maybe something more innocent that the boy misperceived. Three weeks ago a 7-year-old Fond du Lac boy told police a man tried to grab him on his way to school. Police were not able to find a man fitting that boy's description, which was different than the latest incident.
