Packers' Barnett arrested on battery charge

June 18, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Nick Barnett The Green Bay Packers aren't commenting on linebacker Nick Barnett's arrest over the weekend.  The 26 year old starting middle linebacker was arrested early Sunday morning after his alleged involvement in an altercation at the "Wet" nightclub in Appleton around 2am Sunday morning.

Barnett (pictured) was taken to the Outagamie County jail and released within an hour after posting a $500 cash bond.

Barnett has been the Packers starting middle linebacker since his rookie season.
