Brewer Moves

July 26, 2007 By WRN Contributor

The Brewers made a deal to help their bullpen on Wednesday.  GM Doug Melvin traded three minor league pitchers to San Diego for reliever Scott Linebrink.  He is considered one of the best set-up men in baseball.  The righty was 3-3 with a 3.80 ERA in 44 appearances in 2007.  The Brewers had to give up pitcher Wil Inman in the deal who is considered the 3rd best prospect in their farm system.  Linebrink will join the team on Friday.

The Brewers also activated Bill Hall off of the disabled list and sent Tony Gwynn to Triple-A Nashville.
