Gross leads Brewers past Diamondbacks

August 22, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Gabe Gross clubbed a grand slam to cap a 5-run 7th as the Milwaukee Brewers knocked off the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-4 in Phoenix on Tuesday night.

Since returning from a stint in the minors, Gross is hitting .421 (8 for 19) with 3 home runs and 8 rbi's.

J.J. Hardy went 3 for 4 with a run-scoring single and Rickie Weeks added an rbi triple for the Brewers.  It gives the Brewers their 4th road win in the last 5 games.

Dave Bush allowed two runs on six hits over six innings with one walk and strikeouts.  He got his first win since a July 31st relief appearance against the New York Mets.

The final game of the series is tonight.  The Brewers send Jeff Suppan to the mound against Diamondbacks ace Brandon Webb.
