Badgers, Swan, out for the season

October 8, 2007 By WRN Contributor

University of Wisconsin senior wideout Luke Swan (pictured) Luke Swan is expected to miss the rest of the season after suffering a major hamstring injury late in the first half of the Badgers 31-26 loss at Illinois.  Swan will need surgery.

The Badgers have now lost both of their starters, Swan and fellow senior Paul Hubbard who went down in week 2 at UNLV.

It means Wisconsin will enter Saturday's Big Ten game at Penn State with a pair of freshman receivers starting, Kyle Jefferson and David Gilreath.

Swan had 25 catches for 451 yards and two touchdowns, ranking him 2nd on the team.
