Major Leaguers say Brewers' Braun is top NL rookie

Yesterday, Milwaukee Brewers slugger Prince Fielder was named the top player in the National League in voting by Major League Players.  Today, Brewers rookie third baseman Ryan Braun was named the National League's top rookie in the Players Choice Awards voting.

Boston's Dustin Pedroia is the top vote getter among American League rookies.

The 23 year old Braun led all Major League rookies in home rusn (34), batting average (.324) and slugging percentage (.634).  He helped guide the Brewers to a second place finish in the National League Central.

Braun was the 5th overall pick in the 2005 First-Year Player Draft out of Miami.
