Weston High School community shares tragedy, hope

October 3, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Students and staff who lived through a school shooting shared their stories for the first time since the tragedy. Students at Janesville Parkview High School got the full impact of the events that struck Weston High School in Cazenovia, as those involved let their emotions flow in a public setting for the first time since September 28th, 2006. On that day a 15 year old student, a bullying victim, shot and killed Weston Principal John Klang.

The message to Parker students was clear: respect your fellow students, take responsibility for your actions, and think safety first. This is the first time this tragedy has been discussed outside of Cazenovia. Students and staff say they're willing to share with other communities as well.
