Rippin' Good ammonia leak

November 13, 2007 By WRN Contributor

No one was hurt, but Rippin, Good Cookies in Ripon had to be evacuated for an ammonia leak Tuesday morning. Fond du Lac County Deputy Director of Communications and Emergency Management Tony Zelhofer said the leak was reported to law enforcement and fire department officials shortly before 5 a.m. and air quality levels returned to a safe level about four and a half hours later. Zelhofer didn't have information and how the leak occurred, but did say an ammonia tank is stored on the property.
