Yi Jianlian to compete in NBA All-Star Rookie Challenge

Yi Jianlian Milwaukee Bucks rookie forward Yi Jianlian, the 6th overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft, leads a list of 18 players selected to play in the 2008 Rookie Challenge & Youth Jam on Friday, Feb. 15 in New Orleans.

Yi will be one of nine athletes representing the Rookie squad.

One of only three Bucks to play in every game this season, Yi is averaging 9.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.0 blocked shot per game.  He ranks among all rookie leaders in scoring (3rd, 9.8), rebounds (3rd, 5.8), field goal percentage (2nd, 43.6), free throw percentage (2nd, 82.7), minutes (4th, 27.3), blocks (5th, 1.02), steals (5th, 0.67) and assists (8th, 0.9).

The NBA All-Star game will be played Sunday, Feb. 17.
