Taxpayers "in the crosshairs"

March 7, 2008 By WRN Contributor

A Republican lawmaker says Wisconsin taxpayers are "in the crosshairs."

The comment comes from state Representative Steve Nass (R-Whitewater), as lawmakers prepare to meet in special session next week to address a $650 million budget deficit.

Nass says Democrats are expecting taxpayers to fix the mistakes of state government through tax increases.  He says lawmakers need to take a different approach, by making deep cuts to state government to reduce costs.
