Braves Win Finale

May 30, 2008 By WRN Contributor

The Atlanta Braves snapped the Brewers 3 game win streak and avoided the 3 game sweep with an 8-1 win at Miller Park on Thursday afternoon.

The Braves lit up Brewers starter Seth McClung for 5 runs in the 5th inning, that included a 3-run Mark Texeira homer.  Texeira drove in 4 runs for the game.

McClung gave up 6 runs and 8 hits in 4 and two-thirds innings of work to get hung with the loss.  Jorge Campillo went 5 innings to pick up the win.

Russell Branyan hit a solo homer in the 5th for Milwaukee's only run of the game.

Milwaukee opens up a three game series with Houston tonight at Miller Park. Manny Parra gets the start for Milwaukee.  The Astros will start Brandon Backe.  The first pitch is set for 7pm at Miller Park.
